Guille Barbosa
Guille Barbosa is the Executive Projects Manager at Big Sur Land Trust in Monterey, California. Guille began her tenure with the Land Trust as the executive assistant to the executive director 10 years ago and transitioned to her current role for additional support to the president/CEO with the development, implementation and oversight of all plans, initiatives and internal processes initiated in the executive office. Such plans include the organization’s first Diversity, Equity & Inclusion plan completed in early 2018. Guille also assists the organization with the translation of material for bilingual communications for the Latino community to encourage the community to see themselves as natural land conservationists with their current efforts, traditions, and cultural customs. Guille would love to see more people of color holding positions in environmental science and land conservation because she believes it is a gift of knowledge and care that comes naturally to Latinos.
Big Sur Land Trust is Guille’s first opportunity to work in a nonprofit and a land conservation organization. Previously, Guille worked as the EA to the general manager at the local Spanish TV network. Guille completed her MBA from CSUMB in 2020 and looks forward to growing in her career very soon.
