Zuhura Ahmad, The Young Inspirator, is a Tanzanian great gender-climate advocate, empowering the today’s generation of youth and women leaders about nature, biodiversity and climate action and helping them build their knowledge and skills they need to proffer innovative solutions to environmental issues.  Zuhura is not just an advocate, she is a catalyst for transformative change. Her influence extends beyond passion, where she proudly serves as the Head of Programs at The Women in Recycling Foundation, where she plays a pivotal role in supporting and advancing the integration of women-responsive approach in the implementation of circular economy practices. Her leadership and expertise contribute to empowering over 500 women in waste management and recycling activities and driving positive change in the local community level, Tanzania.  As a prolific Global Speaker, she has spoken on prestigious WomenLift Health Global Conference 2024, spotlight ‘Women Leaders Shaping Climate Action in Tanzania’   She is a Youth4Nature Global Ambassador, focused on Storytelling, Fundraising, and Africa Region matters, where she acts as a Youth4Nature Ground-Up Activator in Tanzania within Y4N Global Community of Storytellers.  She is the project lead, at her new venture SHE SHAPES NATURE where she employed digital storytelling and in-person convening to survey, amplify and support the work of 10+ women and girls in Tanzanian’s nature-based economy, from land to sea including women in seaweed farming and mangroves restoration supported by Youth4Nature. While through these activities, Zuhura showed a fair amount of knowledge on ecology and livelihoods.  Since 2019, Zuhura has consistently dedicated to biodiversity policy and its conservation under the Global Youth Biodiversity Network. She has been a leader in co-organizing capacity building initiatives and empower 1000+ youth and women to contribute to the objectives of convention on biological diversity including by recognizing their equal rights and access to full, equitable, meaningful and informed participation and leadership at all levels of action, engagement, policy and decision making related to biodiversity.  Over the last five years, Zuhura has received numerous accolades for her outstanding contributions to social impact, gender-climate, youth and women empowerment, including the  2021 Gender-Climate award and 2024 Top 50 Rising Motherland Moguls,These are the most prestigious accolades a young person can receive for their social action and impact on nature and people.  She is also a scientist teacher.
