Samantha Beebout
Sam is the Vice President of Philanthropy for American Prairie, a nonprofit organization focused on connecting and rewilding 3 million acres of shortgrass prairie ecosystem on Montana's northern great plains. In this role, Samantha serves on the organization's executive team, leads the philanthropy committee of the organization's board of directors, and manages the philanthropy team as the organization pursues a multi-year, $320 million comprehensive campaign. Prior to working with American Prairie, Samantha was Director of Estate, Trust and Gift Planning at Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana.
Samantha brings fifteen years of experience working with nonprofit organizations, philanthropy teams, and donors to drive support for organizations through philanthropic giving including annual fund development, major giving from individual donors and institutions, planned giving, and comprehensive campaigns. She received the Certified Specialist in Planned Giving designation from the American Institute for Philanthropic Studies, a Master of Public Administration degree from Montana State University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Bryn Mawr College.
Samantha grew up in Des Moines, Iowa and first fell in love with wild places from the tall grass pastures of her family's farm and time spent in the mountains and on the sagebrush steppe with her grandparents in Wyoming. Samantha has lived in Bozeman, Montana for almost twelve years and enjoys hiking, biking, fishing, and canoeing with her husband and dog.
