Nyaradzo Auxilia Hoto
Biodiversity Supervisor
As a Bachelor's degree holder in Wildlife, Ecology, and Conservation, I have dedicated my career to protecting and preserving our planet's invaluable biodiversity. From humble beginnings as a ranger, I have steadily climbed the ranks to my current position as a Biodiversity Officer within a non-profit organization (Akashinga), where I play a pivotal role in safeguarding our natural heritage. My journey has been one of growth and evolution, marked by a deepening commitment to environmental stewardship and a relentless pursuit of knowledge. Transitioning from the field to a leadership role in the science department, I now focus on conducting essential monitoring and research projects that inform conservation strategies and policy decisions. Central to my success has been my ability to communicate effectively and foster collaboration among diverse stakeholders. Whether engaging with local communities, government agencies, or fellow conservationists, I prioritize dialogue and partnership to achieve shared goals. Driven by a passion for problem-solving and a deep-seated concern for the urgent threats posed by climate change, I am unwavering in my commitment to advancing environmental sustainability. Beyond the confines of my professional role, I find solace in the harmonious melodies of music, the tranquility of game viewing, and the awe-inspiring beauty of nature's wonders.
