Meg Daupan
Meg (Meg-ey) serves as Program Manager for the Yale School of the Environment's Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Sustainability Initiative (JEDSI). She manages the People of Color Environmental Professionals Database, the most comprehensive collection of biographies of environmental professionals of color, and leads the annual New Horizons in Conservation convening, which gathers diverse environmental and climate justice professionals.
Previously, Meg was the Environmental Justice Community Organizer for Clean Water Action in Philadelphia, where she facilitated local tours and symposiums to support environmental justice campaigns. She also served as Program Manager for the Doris Duke Conservation Scholars Program (DDCSP) at the University of Michigan, mentoring over 60 undergraduates and co-authoring research on food security and sustainability.
Meg holds a Master’s in Natural Resources and Environment from the University of Michigan, as well as a Master’s in Microbiology and a Bachelor’s in Biology from the University of the Philippines. Her background includes laboratory research and science education, blending scientific rigor with a passion for social justice.
Born and raised in the Philippines, Meg integrates Filipino values into her work and has over 10 years of experience in the US and the Philippines. She aims to elevate underserved voices globally. Outside of work, she enjoys painting, reading, trying new dishes, and spending time with her family.
