Kimberly Slack
Kim is an engineer-turned-educator, nonprofit director, and nature-based leadership guide. She is currently serving as Executive Director of the nonprofit Center for Nature & Leadership, whose Generative Council programs empower current and emerging women leaders to be greater catalysts for change through community and Nature-based practices. Kim’s 12 years of water resources and remediation experience as a civil/environmental engineer in the U.S., Kenya, and Haiti bring a practical and culturally responsive lens to her work as an educator, guide, and servant leader. She is wholeheartedly committed to nurturing healthy relationships between humans and nature through immersive, nature-based, experiential learning that is accessible to all. Kim believes in amplifying marginalized voices through education and action. She is most alive when wandering wild spaces of all sorts, from wide expanses of wilderness to the overgrown back alleyways behind her house.
