Jerilyn Johnson
Jerilyn Johnson is the Chief People & Culture Officer at Greenpeace USA, a global leader in environmental advocacy. In her role as Chief People & Culture Officer, Jerilyn is responsible for development and implementation of the organization’s People Strategy. She has more than 10 years experience in human resources management and organizational development. Her areas of expertise include building healthy and engaging organizational cultures and internal programs centered in equity, justice and integrity.
Jerilyn is passionate about building leadership capacity in individuals. She co-founded a Justice and Equity Community of Practice for leaders in the nonprofit space who want to grow equity and inclusion practices inside their own organizations and serves as a Pay Equity Advisor for 81cents. Jerilyn also provides career development services through one-on-one coaching, group workshops, and educational seminars at colleges and universities and nonprofit organizations for those who are underrepresented in the progressive non profit sector.
Jerilyn received a BA in Economics from The University of Texas and a MS/MBA in Finance/Human Capital Management from the University of Maryland. In addition to her academic degrees, she also holds advanced designations in Human Resources, SHRM - CP and SPHR, and is a Certified Diversity Executive.
