Sustainable Agroforestry Initiative (SAFI) – Burkina Faso
As a Co-Founder and the Project Coordinator for Sustainable Agroforestry Initiative (SAFI), my role involves facilitating, leading, supervising, monitoring and evaluating projects and financial reporting. Presently, I am responsible for managing landscape restoration project within the Black Volta Basin landscape. This project partners with communities to promote landscape restoration through the replacement of fuelwood harvest from the natural forest with plantation grown trees. The project helps with rural poverty reduction, improved livelihoods, while addressing the over-exploitation of natural vegetation for energy and farming, and high incidences of wildfire that is common across the Black Volta Basin.
