This workshop is for those new to nonprofit fundraising as well as seasoned nonprofit leaders and professionals. It's appropriate for people in programs, operations, human resources, marketing, development, and finance who are asked to attend donor meetings, fundraising events, or contribute to the solicitation of a supporter.
Purpose:
• To improve fundraising skills and knowledge in order to resource our missions for the changes we seek to make in the world

Desired Outcomes for Seasoned Fundraisers:
• Brush up on your knowledge and the sector, how environmental giving fits within the philanthropic picture in the United States
• That you can share your passion and joy for fundraising by helping others as they prioritize philanthropy in their organizations
• Walk away with suggested script and list of people in our networks we can talk to about potentially funding one another’s and our own organizations
Desired Outcomes for those New to Fundraising:
• Better understand the context of fundraising, differences between types of donors, and the process of donor strategy development
• That we feel increased level of comfort and knowledge about the practice of public and private fundraising
• Be able to call upon seasoned fundraisers as “buddies” for the journey ahead
• Walk away with suggested script and list of people in my network that you can talk to about potentially funding your organization
