Elizabeth Maoneyi Maneya 

National Director

Elizabeth Maneya, as a development practitioner, is passionate about transformative human stories and has 30 years of experience in developing and managing integrated development and humanitarian programs. Throughout her career, she has worked with local and international non-governmental organizations and the public and private sectors in Zimbabwe and Malawi. Before joining Floresta/Plant With Purpose global team, she worked in senior leadership roles in Malawi for the Anglican Council as Head of Program, MM (Operations) Limited (Malawi Mangoes) as Director of Planning, Procurement, and Compliance, Pump Aid Beyond Water, Malawi as Country Director, Pump Aid, Zimbabwe as Program Director, The Government of the Republic of Zimbabwe as National Program Planner; Integrated Rural Water Supply and Sanitation, Christian Care, Zimbabwe as Project Officer and Area Manager and The Environment Development Activities in Zimbabwe (ENDA, Zimbabwe) as a Research Officer (Sustainable Land Use Systems).

A holder of an MBA from Zimbabwe Open University, an Executive Diploma in Business Leadership (EDBL) from the Zimbabwe Institute of Management, and a BSc. Honours Degree in Rural and Urban Planning (BSc HRUP) from the University of Zimbabwe. She is currently a Business Administration Ph.D. student with UNICAF University, Malawi, and her research focus is on mainstreaming rural water supply, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) as an essential public health service: a paradigm shift in the development discourse to end WASH poverty.
