Our 2022 Mid-Year Report is Here!

It’s been a busy year for Planet Women, and we’re so excited to share a sample of our latest work in the 2022 Mid-Year Report! This year, your contributions have gone directly to protecting nature, supporting communities, and transforming the culture of conservation in new and bigger ways. You have helped create ripples of positive change across the globe!

Positive change in places like the Andes-Amazon, where our partner Women for Conservation works. Here’s what they said about partnering with us:

"With the support of Planet Women this past year, we have multiplied our impact exponentially and been able to serve more than six times as many people as in previous years. Every person we serve creates the potential for another girl to finish school, a mother to provide basic needs for her family, or a woman to pursue a career in conservation. Planet Women’s funding has been absolutely essential to our growth and success in this critical moment for conservation and environmental justice...Words cannot describe how incredibly grateful we are for the opportunities you have given us to profoundly change lives in the communities where we work while protecting some of the world's most critically diverse ecosystems. "
-Sara Ines Lara, Executive Director of Women for Conservation

  • Our plans for a new center for gender equity and the environment in Africa! This center will offer gender mainstreaming and women’s leadership trainings to local nonprofits working toward restoring 100 million hectares of land in Africa.

  • The launch of two programs designed to build a new paradigm of environmental leadership: the 100 Women Pathway and the Regenerative Leadership Project, which both kicked off their first cohorts.

  • Investment in projects in the Colorado River Basin that increase access to clean drinking water, combine Indigenous knowledge and empirical science to determine conservation strategies, and build a holistic understanding of the river system.

  • Community-responsive services for people living at the edge of nature preserves in rural Colombia, including environmental education, career support and family planning.
