Angela Hill

Angela’s career includes 15 years of Parks, Recreation, and Sustainability experience. Currently, she serves as the Deputy Administrator for the Shelby County Health Department, Environmental Health Services, and Sustainability section.

She has served as the Administrator of the Parks & Neighborhoods Department and the Executive Director of the Conservation Board for Shelby County Government where she oversaw 6000+ acres of parks/ conservation lands, which included two cemeteries (active), and a thriving award-winning community garden.

Her engagement with organizations has led to partnerships that enhance environmental education and stewardship programs in the community. She partnered with Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation’s Tires to Trails program, served on the Statewide Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan 2030 Plan Committee, and served as President of the Tennessee Recreation and Parks Association.

Angela has leveraged her experience to address the public health and environmental resilience needs for a healthier and more climate-resilient Shelby County (TN).
