Shana Emile

Treasurer

Shana is an environmental attorney, passionate about environmental justice. She is the Assistant Attorney General for Washington State Office, Office of the Attorney General. A graduate of University of Southern California’s Gould School of Law, Shana was awarded the Miller-Johnson Equal Justice Award and LASH Grant for her dedication to social justice in law school. After law school, she completed a fellowship with the Clinton Foundation’s Climate Initiative.

While there, she focused on fighting climate change through community and capacity building in island nations, particularly in the Caribbean. As part of this work, she managed a mentorship and professional development program to empower women in the renewable energy industry. Her time working on islands, seeing the devastation left by hurricanes Irma and Maria, highlighted the impact climate change has on island nations and the integral role women play in fighting it. 

Shana resides in Seattle, Washington, with her spunky cat, Cleo.
