Eboni Boadi

Eboni (she/her) is a creative, mother, southerner, and gardener who finds peace, clarity, and healing in the outdoors. She is on a journey to decolonize – reclaiming her relationship with nature one walk, swim, book, and conversation at a time.

Throughout her career, Eboni has worked with individual investors on social, economic, and environmental causes, so that communities can continue to close the gap in early childhood literacy, as well as securing funding to help provide access to housing, jobs, food, and opportunities to increase engagement and recreation in green spaces near and far.

As Vice President of Philanthropy at The Student Conservation Association (SCA) and as a member of the Executive Team, Eboni collaborates with various colleagues to ensure SCA’s philanthropic strategy is closely aligned and mutually supportive of Finance, Marketing, Recruiting, and Program priorities, to effectively achieve organizational goals and revenue objectives. Leading a national team responsible for all private philanthropy (corporate, foundation, principal gifts, direct response, and alumni engagement), she is responsible for the development and implementation of SCA’s fundraising strategy across national and state levels.

Prior to this, Eboni served as a Senior Officer of Major Gifts and as SCA’s Chairwoman of its Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) Working Group. Then and now, Eboni has led teams focused on expanding diversity, strategically integrating JEDI across the organization, and developing a plan for inclusive storytelling.

She is member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, selectee of Children and Nature Network’s 2020 Leadership Summit, a member of Green Equity Officers, previous Leadership Council Member of the

People of the Global Majority in the Outdoors, Nature, and Environment (PGM ONE), and an inaugural cohort member of the 100 Women Pathway with Planet Women!

Eboni obtained her Master’s degree in international law and economics, with distinction, from The Johns Hopkins University SAIS.
