Debora Hertfelder

Debora Hertfelder is the Director of Marketing, International Activation, and Integration, with the Global Marketing and Communications team (GMC) at The Nature Conservancy (TNC). Debora is responsible for working with international regions and markets to support the implementation of key campaigns and initiatives. Through collaboration with the international teams, she also identifies local projects that have the potential for global amplification to help position TNC as a major player in global conservation.

She has been with TNC for 4.5 years, and prior to this role, she managed the marketing efforts with the Latin America Region (LAR). She was responsible for bringing global campaigns to life and obtained top results by building strategic partnerships with major media companies such as Discovery Channel and Viacom. Debora helped create the regional social media strategy and developed marketing plans to amplify reach and engagement. She partnered with Nickelodeon to create a digital environmental series that reached millions of teens in Latin America. And worked with the GMC team to build content and promotions targeted at global Spanish-speaking thought leaders to increase TNC’s audience diversification efforts.

Debora brings over 20 years of experience with Marketing and Global Campaign Development and Execution with Coca-Cola, CNN, and other leading brands. She has supported global partners such as Wal-Mart and Home Depot, implementing programs that drove revenue growth, brand visibility and engagement. She has worked cross-functionally and cross-culturally with over 4,000 stakeholders globally; and managed a portfolio of over $90M in annual revenues.

Debora is originally from Brazil and besides Portuguese, she speaks English and Spanish. She has an MBA with a major in Marketing and Strategy from Emory University and concluded a Professional Coach Program from the University of Miami. Debora is passionate about equity and inclusion.
